Tart cherry

For several decades, tart cherries have quietly grown popular among gout and arthritis sufferers. The first innuendo that tart cherries might help gout and arthritis was suggested in the 1950s. Initial research indicated that the daily consumption of cherries helped to relieve gout “attacks” and the pain that came with it. The 12 patients that participated in the study had lower blood levels of uric acid.
